Second day in Corsica met us with a grey cloudy sky and a promise of rain.
Looking at the satellite pictures it is seemed most likely, that we won't get too much rain if head north - up to Cap Corse, sounds good!
So we saddled our little Renault Clio (got an almost brand new one -- just 200 km on the odometer) and went up north. We didn't see any rain on the way, just some clouds and even some sun :)
After passing through Bastia (will see it on another day) we went driving on a supposedly most spectacular road in this part of Corsica -- D80. The nicest part of it is on the west side of the island and it truly is spectacular -- beautiful rocks with the sea as the nice background.
This side of the island we saw some interesting beaches.

A long overdue honeymoon trip to Corsica. I loved the island, enjoyed the nature and the food and decided to share some of that with you.
We stayed in a great B&B Maison Borghetti run by very nice and friendly hosts Brian and Patrick. Patrick's food is awesome, and that is coming from me, who is notoriously picky about her food :)
We spent our first day walking to some deserted villages (Fiuminale Soprano and Fiuminale Sottano) in the mountains the whole trip (Google maps do not have all the paths in them, so the links are accurate only somewhat -- the first part of the trip is marked on the map as it was taken but the second part is missing a long chunk that went down the mountain and along the river and then the last bit to Talasani was over a path and not the road, but at least you can get some idea of where we went waling) took us about 6.5 hours including a picnic on a mountain and a break to rest our tired feet in a mountain river. We met a few over-friendly donkeys and crowds of semi-wild pigs.

For my birthday last year i received a paragliding stint. As last summer was hectic with wedding preparations, changing my job so the coupon was sitting patiently in a drawer and waiting for this spring, which kept on being winter for a very long time :)
But finally the weather cleared up, the rains withdrew and this last weekend I went up!
This is how it looks on the ground:

Finally! The title of my cattery is approved and it is Woden! Woden as in the leader of wild hunt. Why my No1 choice was Woden? Well, kurilians are great hunters, natural predators still undiluted by many years of breeding as other cat breeds. Give them a moving target and watch them destroy it :) Anything made of feathers. fur of even a plastic bag -- what a show of energy, speed and pure joy. They love to play and hunt. Hence the leader of the wild hunt! Welcome to Woden - kurilian bobtail cattery!

Punto Peruano is the name of a knitting or crocheting technique from (as you could guess easily :) ) Peru.
I accidentally stumbled upon it while browsing various hobby forums and decided to try it.

Turns out I missed this piece of soutache in my blog -- a brooch or hairclip to go with my Green summer earrings and pendant.
