Finally my first litter as an owner of my own personal cattery Woden!
The kittens are 2 and half months old at the moment and are ready to be reserved.
There are three little ones -- Ainu, the flower of the litter, a small lady, very sure of herself, and at the same time gentle and cuddly to the extreme:

The days are getting colder and more and more often I catch myself looking at warm clothes and thinking that my winter repertoire needs a renewal.
I keep finding more and more interesting and lovely things to wear and wanted to share some of them with you.
I have really low blood pressure, so my feet and hands are constantly cold -- this is what I am going to get for myself ;)

The journalists claim that Estonia has imposed the same restrictions this spring and that estonians are very happy with it. Sounds legit, right?
But I do not trust what I read unless there is hard data to go with it and when I look for that data her is what I find (www.post.ee/failid/UPT_kiri_km_ga_2012_eng.pdf) in Estonian post page:

Weight and dimensions:

Maximum weight: 2000 g
Minimum dimensions: 90 mm x 140 mm (length x width) or the rolled length and twice the diameter totalling 170 mm; longest dimension 100 mm
Maximum dimensions: 230 x 330 x 20 mm (length, width, thickness). 

From the 1st of November Lithuanian Post (Lietuvos Paštas) is banning small parcels -- only two types of post remains -- letters with measurements of A4 piece of paper that is 2cm thick and weights up to 2kg and packages.
The elimination of small parcels will be a hard blow to anyone, that sends their goods in small quantities -- i.e. small businesses such as handmade jewelry craftsmen etc.
At the moment we are fighting for this change to be either suspended (notice the timing, just before Christmas shipping period) or banned altogether.

Since I was little I remember amber being around me all the time -- in my mothers jewellery, in decorations on the wall, in the sand on the seashore but most of all in my grandfathers workshop.
The smell of amber dust mixed with freshly cut wood, heated metal and all this surrounded by all sorts of interesting (for an inquisitive little girl) equipment that my grandpa used to work miracles (as it looked to my excited younger self) from this warm honey coloured media.
Why do I suddenly remember all this? Recently, when going through my boxed belongings I found a sack full of small raw amber nuggets and the memories of all that time spent in my grandfathers workshop all those years ago came back.
A thought hit me -- what if I try to work that same magic? Of course, I will start slow and simple, but I have a vision and I think I will make that come true.
And now my first small experiments with amber and brass.
