It took me a while to finish these earrings -- lack of time and not knowing which way to go with the design were two main reasons.
Now it's done -- lo and behold:

I created this brooch for a particular dress. This beautiful red jasper cabochon was lying around for a while in my boxes and when I bought this particular dress and went looking for a stone to match -- it matched perfectly. The colour is almost identical and it makes me very happy.
The design of the brooch was simple and not too elaborate, I just needed a nice setting for this pretty stone.

This particular piece of jewellery was begun a while ago and was left lying in my crafts pile for a long time. I wanted to make it into a necklace but couldn't find a nice way to finish it and so it was going deeper and deeper into an unused corner of my crafts drawer.
I kept pondering that a bunch of grapes was a great idea but was at a loss when trying to make the leaves that would go well with what I had and suit a necklace idea.
One day I realised that it would make a wonderful brooch and then an idea of how to finish the leaves popped into my head right away.
I simply embroidered them on a piece of felt and incorporated that into my soutache part. Here is what I have now:

So it's done! Last Sunday (02.12) we had a second installment of our Westeros LARP. This one was set in Oldtown and the premise of the game was a Listening and a Tournament for that occasion.
The famine caused partially by a plague that swept accros the whole seven kingdoms is on everybody's mind. And so the game begins.
Everyone has their own agenda, some for the money, others -- for the glory and so very few or maybe even none -- for the good of the people of Westeros. Who is going to have the best claim for the throne? In this game there are two contenders -- Lady Shiera Seastar (played by moi) and Daemon Blackfire.

Unfortunatelly this time we were not blessed by the presence of photographers... So I have only a bad quality photo of myself after the game...
